Our ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ Advantage

Our ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ Advantage

Toronto's only all-years ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ World School for Girls.
Every student at ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ, from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, benefits from the ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ curriculum. It promotes curiosity and critical thinking, provides for regular assessments and feedback against standardized criteria, and has been shown to improve studentsperformance, and provide unmatched preparation for university studies.

Nearly 5,000 schools in more than 150 countries have adopted the ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ World School program, recognized widely as the gold standard in education. ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ is the only independent girls' school in Toronto to offer the International Baccalaureate exclusively.

ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ Program students study English, Mathematics, Sciences, Technology, Physical Education, the Arts (Drama, Music, Visual Art), humanities and a foreign language every year. Grounded in the liberal arts tradition, ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ teaches students – at every age – to become critical thinkers and effective communicators of their ideas and opinions. As a result, they develop habits that last through a lifetime of shaping a better world.

From an early age, our students are thoughtful learners who seek knowledge and think critically. They are comfortable with differing points of view. In addition, they understand that our world is a complex, changing place that needs caring, compassionate and principled leaders, and they take action to make the world a better place.

What is an ÀÏ˾»úÊÓƵ Education?

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.

Setting the new standard for girls' education everywhere takes collective action. From all of us.
